Three special Members-only benefits are associated with the Gilbert & George exhibition:


Gilbert & George Limited Edition for Members Only
Gilbert & George have created two superb fine art prints which they have generously donated to raise funds for the Brooklyn Museum on the occasion of their retrospective this fall. These original prints, Flagration and Give Me the Moonlight, have each been issued in an edition of 100 and are priced at $4,000 each. They will be available to Members at the Contributor level ($150) and above, beginning on September 8. If you are not a Member at the Contributor level and would like to purchase one or more of these limited editions, you are welcome to join or upgrade your Membership by calling (718) 501-6326. This is a special opportunity to own a noteworthy print created by two of the most important contemporary artists in the world today.

One edition will be raffled off to a current Member during the Members Preview and Reception for Gilbert & George on Thursday, October 2. Members may enter into the raffle by making an Annual Fund donation of $40 during the Members Preview and Reception. The raffle will be limited to 200 entries and tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 2 p.m. The drawing for the winners of the Gilbert & George edition will take place live at 9 p.m., and the winner may select between the two editions.

Please note that each individual edition will be presented in a professional black wood frame. There will be no unframed editions available. Shipping, handling and insurance fees will be applied to the purchase price depending upon the final shipping destination.

Gilbert & George Members Preview and Reception on Thursday, October 2 (all Members):

Members must present their invitation, which admits two and is nontransferable, for admission. The Museum Shop will be open until 10 p.m., and the Museum Café will be open until 6 p.m.

Gilbert & George Private Tour with Director Arnold L. Lehman on Thursday, October 23

Members at the Fellow ($1,000) level and above are invited to attend a private tour of Gilbert & George on October 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. Museum Director Arnold L. Lehman will lead this intimate tour through the special exhibition galleries and will host a short reception afterwards. Be sure not to miss this rare chance to become acquainted with Arnold Lehman and hear him discuss this commanding retrospective, while the Museum is closed to the public. Please note that invitations will be mailed out in late September and the event will be limited to 25 Members.

As always, Members receive a 10% discount at the Museum Shops and Café, and Members may present their invitation or Membership card for free parking during Members-only events.
